1654) Because of the violence done to your brother Jacob, she shall cover you, and you (Edom) shall be cut off forever. (Obadiah 1:10 ESV)
1645) Theexiles of this host of the people of Israel shall possess the land of the Canaanites as far as Zarephath, (Obadiah 1:20a ESV)
1646) …and the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sephardi shall possess the cities of the Negeb. (Obadiah 1:20b ESV)
1647) Saviors shall go up to Mount Esau, and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s. (Obadiah 1:21 ESV)
1648) …and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land. (Jonah 1:9b ESV)
1649) And the mountains will melt under him, and the valleys will split open. (Micah 1:4 ESV)
1650) All this is for the transgression of Jacob and for the sins of Israel. (Micah 1:5a ESV)
1651) What is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? And what is the high place of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem? (Micah 1:5b ESV)

1658) Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, … (Micah 4: 2b ESV)
1659) …that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths. (Micah 4:2c ESV)
1660) For out of Zionshall go forth the Law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. (Micah 4 :2b ESV)
1661) …for all the peoples walk each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever. (Micah 4:5 ESV)
1662) …and the lame I will make the remnant, and those who were cast off, a strong nation. (Micah 4:7a ESV)
1663) And you, O tower of the flock, hill of the daughter of Zion… (Micah 4: 8a ESV)
1664) …for now you shall go out from the city and dwell in the open country; (Micah 4: 10b ESV)
1665) But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord; they do not understand his plan, … (Micah 4:12a ESV)

1669) When the Assyrian comes into our land and treads in our places, then we will rise against him seven shepherds, and eight princes of men; … (Micah 5: 5 ESV)
1670) …and I will root out your Asherah images from among you and destroy your cities. (Micah 5:14 ESV)
1671) Hear you mountains, the indictment of the Lord, and you enduring foundations of the earth, (Micah 6:2 ESV)
1672) You shall sow, but not reap; (Micah 6:1a ESV)
1673) …you shall tread olives, but not anoint yourselves with oil; (Micah 6:1b ESV)
1674) A day of building your walls! In that day the boundary shall be far extended.(Micah 7:11 ESV)
1675) The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, … (Nahum 1:3a ESV)
1676) The mountains quake before him; the hills melt; the earth heaves before him, the world and all who dwell in it. (Nahum 1:5 ESV)
These often sound like they are speaking about the natural world and nothing more. Here is a case where the scripture makes it clear that the actual subject is what God is doing in the lives of people. He says it’s about “all who dwell in it”.
1677) Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by faith. (Habakkuk 2:4 ESV)
1678) The very stones in the walls cry out against you, and the beams in the ceilingsecho the complaint. (Habakkuk 2:11 NLT)
1679) His brilliant splendor fills the heavens, and the earth is filled with his praise. (Habakkuk 3:3b NLT)
1680) He stood and measured the earth; he looked and shook the nations; (Habakkuk 3:6a ESV)
1681) …then the eternal mountains were scattered; the everlasting hills sank low. (Habakkuk 3:6b ESV)
1682) The sun and moon stood still in their place at the light of your arrows as they sped, at the flash of your glittering spear. (Habakkuk 3:11 ESV)
1683) I will stretch out my hand against Judah and against all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; (Zephaniah 1: 4 ESV)
1684) Is it a time for you to dwell in your paneled houses, while his house lies in ruins? (Haggai 1:4 ESV)
1685) …In just a little while I will again shake the heavens and the earth, (Haggai 1:6a NLT)
1686) …the oceans and the dry land.(Haggai 1:6b NLT)
1687) … Consider your ways. Go up to the hills and bring wood and build the house, (Haggai 1:7a ESV)
1688) …that I may take pleasure in it and that I may be glorified, … (Haggai 1:7b,8 ESV)
1689) Because of my house that its in ruins, while each of you busies himself withhis own house. (Haggai 1:9b ESV)
1690) Therefore the heavensabove you have withheld the dew, and the earth has withheld its produce. (Haggai 1:10 ESV)
1691) And they came and worked on the house of the Lord of hosts, their God. (Haggai 1:14c ESV)
1692) …I will shake the heavens and the earth… (Haggai 2:6 ESV)
1693) And I will shake all nations, so that thetreasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts. (Haggai 2:7 ESV)
1694) The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts. (Haggai 2:8 ESV)
1695) The later glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. (Haggai 2:9 ESV)
1696) I am about to shake the heavens and the earth, … (Haggai 2:21b ESV)
He then follows up and tells exactly what is to be shaken and what exactly he means by heaven and earth.
1697) I am about to destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the nation, and overthrow thechariots and their riders… (Haggai 2:22b ESV)
1698) …My love for Jerusalem and Mount Zion is passionate and strong. (Zechariah 1:14b NLT)
1699) …My cities shall again overflow with prosperity, and and the lord will again comfort Zion and again choose Jerusalem. (Zechariah 1: 17b ESV)
1700) And I will be to her a wall offire all around, declares the Lord, and I will be the glory in her midst.(Zechariah 2: 5 ESV)
1701) Up! Escape to Zion, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon. (Zechariah 2:7 ESV)
1702) Now Joshua was standing before he angel, clothed with filthy garments. And the angel said to those who were standing before him, “Remove the filthy garments from him,”And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head”. (Zechariah 3:5a ESV)
Do you get this one. Putting on a clean turban is cleansing his thought life! Without the change, his thought life would remain unclean.
1703) If you will walk in my ways and keep my charge,(Zechariah 3:7a ESV)
1704) …then you shall rulemy house and have charge of my courts, … (Zechariah 3:7b ESV)
1705) …For everyone who steals shall be cleaned out according to what is on one side, and everyone who swears falsely shall be cleaned out acceding to what is on the other side. (Zechariah 5:3b ESV)
1706) And it shall remain in his house and consume it, (Zechariah 5:4b ESV)
1707) …both timber and stone. (Zechariah 5:4c ESV)
1708) Then he will receive royal honor and will rule as king from his throne. He will also serve as priest from his throne. (Zechariah 6:13b NLT)
1709) Say to all the people of the land and the priests, …(Zechariah 7:5a ESV)
1710) …I have returned to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. (Zechariah 8:3b ESV)
1711) The vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give its produce, and the heavens shall give their dew. (Zechariah 8:12b ESV)
1712) …to bring good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: … (Zechariah 8:15b ESV)
1713) For the Lord has an eye on all mankind and on the house of Israel. (Zechariah 9:1b ESV)
1714) Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! (Zechariah 9:9 NLT)
1715) I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the war horse from Jerusalem. (Zechariah 9:10a ESV)
1716) For I have bent Judah as mybow; I have made Ephraim as its arrow. (Zechariah 9:13a ESV)
1717) I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph. (Zechariah 10:6a ESV)
1718) I will bring them home from the land of Egypt, and gather them from Assyria, and I will bring them to the land of Gilead and to Lebanon, … (Zechariah 10:a ESV)
1719) … and the scepter of Egypt shall depart. I will make them strong in the Lord. (Zechariah 10:11c, 12a ESV)
1720) Wail, O cypress, for the cedar has fallen, … (Zechariah 11:1b.2a ESV)
1721) Then I took my other staff, Union, and cut it in two, showing that the bond of unity between Judah and Israel was broken. (Zechariah 11:14 NLT)

1728) … that the glory of the house of David and the glory of he inhabitants of Jerusalem may not surpass that of Judah. (Zechariah 12:7b ESV)
1729) And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem … (Zechariah 12:10a ESV)
1730) On that day there shall be a fountain opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, … (Zechariah 13:1 ESV)
1731) … and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested. (Zechariah 13:9a ESV)
The purification is taking place in the invisible world, but the example rests in the visible world.
1732) On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, … (Zechariah 14:4 ESV)
1733) On that day living waters shall flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of the to the western sea. (Zechariah 14:8a ES)
1734) In fact, every cooking pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be holy to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. (Zechariah 14:21 NLT)
1735) “Is not Esau Jacob’s brother?” Declares the Lord. “Yet I have loved Jacob but Esau I have hated.” (Malachi 1:2b,3a ESV)
1736) True instruction was in his mouth, and no wrong was found on his lips. (Malachi 2:6a ESV)
1737) He walked with me in peace and uprightness,… (Malachi 2:6b ESV)
1738) …and a detestable thing has been done in Israel and in Jerusalem. (Malachi 2:11 NLT)
